Shocking: US Discovers Wreckage of Plane Carrying 10 Missing People – Passengers’ Fate Remains Unknown!-HN

The US Coast Guard said on February 7 that it had found wreckage matching the description of the missing Bering Air plane in the icy waters about 55 km southeast of Nome. The force determined that all 10 people on board were killed.
“Our condolences go out to all those affected by this tragedy,” the US Coast Guard posted on social media.
Coast Guard spokesman Mike Salerno said the wreckage was discovered while using a helicopter to search the area where the plane was last heard from. The agency then dropped two crew members to the scene to verify the location.

Coast Guard official Benjamin McIntyre-Coble said the plane did not send any distress signals before the crash. According to McIntyre-Coble, the plane had an emergency locator device that would have sent a signal to the coast guard if it had crashed into the water. Because the plane crashed on ice, the device was not activated.
A Bering Air plane carrying a pilot and nine passengers went missing while traveling from Unalakleet to Nome in Alaska.

This is the third major US aircraft accident in just eight days. On January 29, a passenger plane collided with a US military helicopter in Washington, DC, killing 67 people. On January 31, a medical evacuation plane crashed in Philadelphia, killing six people on board and one person on the ground.
